On a bright Saturday morning, 15 June 2025, Villea Morib welcomed 40 volunteers from Permodalan Nasional Berhad’s Internal Audit Department (IAD) and 17 of our own team members for a hands-on corporate social responsibility (CSR) session that truly embodied our Sayang Earth sustainability spirit. From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the combined crew rolled up their sleeves for a purposeful gotong-royong at our on-site Herbs Garden and at the nearby Masjid Jamek Jama’iyah Morib car park.
The morning began with a quick safety and programme briefing on the Terrace Garden. Armed with gloves, shovels, and plenty of enthusiasm, the group weeded, mulched, and replanted herbs such as Pandan, Serai, Daun Kunyit, Ulam Raja, and many more—local staples that supply our kitchen. Over at the mosque, volunteers cleared litter, repainted kerb lines, and refreshed the landscaping to provide worshippers and the wider Morib community with a cleaner, greener space.
Beyond the obvious aesthetic boost, the activity served a deeper purpose: nurturing biodiversity, reducing organic waste through onsite composting, and fostering community ties. The camaraderie on display echoed our brand promise—Every Stay, A Crafted Experience—proving that hospitality extends far beyond guest rooms and into the heart of our shared environment.
This initiative is one of many under Attana Hotels & Resorts’ Sayang Earth roadmap. By partnering with like-minded organisations such as PNB, we aim to champion sustainable tourism, empower local communities, and safeguard Malaysia’s natural heritage for generations to come.
